Fall Picture Time

Today we did the kids fall pictures (as you can see I didn't wait too long to edit!)  As many of you know - I despise taking my own kids pictures.  You know how your kids act better for someone else than you?  Same thing goes for a photographers kids.  But - I do see light at the end of the tunnel - Ella has improved greatly which means, hopefully, that Avery will too in time.  Nevertheless - I love them! :)

Recent conversation overheard from the office....

Ella:  Now Avery, we are going to watch Elf.  BUT - Elf is not real. Santa is not real, but Elf is funny.  We like to watch it.  It's called entertainment.
Avery:  Uhhh...okay.

3 months already??

Hi. My name is Owen...and I am 3 months old! 

Seriously, how did this happen already??  He makes my heart melt  :)  I thank the Lord for knowing the desires of my heart better than myself and blessing us with this perfect little boy.

My kids? Camera shy?

So, because one photo time was not enough for new hair cut day - I guess we had to add new leotard day too.  Ella certainly doesn't mind any opportunity to pose in front of a camera.  Avery has been itching to join her in the wonderful world of ballerinas too...

Ella's Haircut and Avery's doctor

My big girl got a haircut! AH! I was so nervous.  Her hair was a mess!!! I thought we were going to have to cut it all off and go boy short to fix the craziness...but thankfully I have a wonderful hairdresser that works miracles!

I promised her new headbands for being a good girl and cutting her hair.  Princess headbands! 

So before the haircut, Avery had to go to the doctor for yet another cup sample.  Within the next few weeks, we will be heading to TCH to see a nephrologist.  After all that studying I did about blood deficiencies....now I have to learn something new! But at least we are making progress....

Rock Band

My family has recently discovered Rock Band....they love it!! Its quite a show.  Avery gets all into it and throws her head around like some long-haired, leather pants wearin rocker.  We had singing, guitar and some keyboard.  I think I have some little musicians on my hands.

Christmas

This year my family has decided that we will make presents for one another instead of buying things.  Thank goodness for Pinterest!

DIY at the Trahan House

A few weeks ago, I needed some special props for a photography session...so Ella and I got to makin...

It started with a trip to Mannings for chalk boards on a date night...exciting life we live!...but they were closed and apparently NO ONE else sells chalk boards.  Soo my genius husband suggested we make some.  Off to Michaels, which I will have to revisit because I fell in LOVE, to buy some art canvases.

Painted the canvases with chalk board paint and let dry for 4 hours.  Repeat.  Tadaa! Chalk boards!

And of course we had to try them out.

Then to soup can phones - which turned out to be a huge success!! Pretty simple...soup cans, soap and water, string.  Wallah. Instant fun.

I just purchased a really cool piece of furniture that is going to be transformed into two little girls dream dress up store....cant't wait to get started!



...and just in case you really want to know....this entire blogging and photo editing was done with a baby boy on my lap who thinks it is hilarious that when he puts his foot up to my face I kiss it....love. 

Me and the Hubby

Recent conversation with my wonderful husband about starting back on my diet.....

Me:  I'm frustrated.  I am not loosing weight as quickly as I did last time.
Hubby:  Well...you haven't starting doing like 300 crunches a day yet.
Me:  When on earth am I going to have time to do 300 crunches?!? 


sigh.....

3 + 3 = 8

No, I am not pregnant with triplets, but I do have 3 rambunctiousness house guests.  What have I learned from having 6 kiddos this week?  I need another bathroom.

During my down time this week...I had a baby in my lap, a toddler on my back (good thing I got a bigger office chair) and photoshop on the computer.  Very busy week.  I am looking forward to Thursday.  No sessions. No editing.  No counting carbs.  Just me and hubby, my love bugs, and some fun.
